FAQ

  • We have an in-house creative department, can CreativeHub help us?
Many companies that use us currently have in-house graphic teams that may not have the availability, specialty, or style that we can deliver by tapping into thousands of different creative professionals.

Our community is global, specializing in graphic design, film, multimedia, marketing/advertising, etc. We can create work in 11 different design formats, are always available, and can produce any style that you specify. And, we can deliver 30+ design options to choose from for the price of a single freelancer!
  • We already outsource to freelancers, why should we use you?
The quality, range, and affordability of our work will blow you away. For the price of a single graphic designer, we can deliver 30+ creative options for you to choose from. And our members can tackle concept work as well as design work – for example, if you want to get a range of visual ideas on how to advertise a certain product, our members can deliver entries with different themes, copy, visuals, etc to give you the message that you’re searching for.
  • What do I get for my money?
You pay a set posting fee to list the project on the website and attract site members to submit entries. You will also decide on a "prize fee" to pay to the creative artists for works you wish to purchase. You will be able to view entries as they are submitted over a two-week period. After two weeks, you can review the submisisons and purchase submissions you like - each for the price you decided.
  • How much does it cost?
For a quick reference, please click on the link to the pricing table. Project postings are $200 each, you set the prize amount for the creative artists depending on your budget. With our low-cost model, you can purchase a banner ad for under $500, and get numerous executions to choose from.
  • How much time will this process take?
    Projects run for two weeks.
  • Who owns the copyright to all the submissions?
The copyright transfers from the creative who submits it directly to you, when you purchase it directly from them. There are no residuals; you have all rights to use the work in any way you see fit.
  • What are the design guidelines?
A guideline brief can be described most easily as the instructions you give to our community on what you want them to create. We have a standard version, where you can type in some general concepts that you would like to stick to, or we have an advanced version, where you can specify targets, insights, etc.
  • Can I purchase more than one submission from my project?
Yes! You can purchase as many submissions as you would like. All winning work will be paid at the same prize fee rate.
  • In what specific visual formats will I receive the work?
We ask that you be specific about your format requirements during the posting process. If you require a magazine ad to be developed in Illustrator, please indicate that when you post, and we will only allow submissions in that particular format. Remember, the more formats you accept, the more people will submit in your project (especially true when accepting .jpg submissions).
  • How can I make sure I get many great submissions?
We guarantee a minimum of 20 submissions to each project. Beyond that, the winning prize amount you set will determine interest amongst the community for submitting to your project. The higher you set the prize, the more entries you’re likely to receive.

In addition, CreativeHub offers add-on purchases to secure additional submissions, such as highlighting your project on the list of projects, including your logo & link on our site, and including your project mention in our weekly newsletter to 1,000+ creative professionals.
  • What are prize minimums?
Prize minimums are the lowest prize winnings you can pay out per project format. For a quick reference, click on the pricing table here. The higher you set the prize, the more entries you’re likely to receive, and there is no limit on how high prizes can be set.
  • What if I want to contact the winning creative after the project?
Access to our creative professionals is protected, for their sake and for the value of the service we provide in finding you the best creative. We can introduce you to any of the creatives for an additional fee of $25.
  • How can I manage my project?
You can manage your project from the “management screen.” This is where you can create the design guidelines, view the number of submissions to your project, see all entries, purchase the winning submission, and purchase any add-ons as they apply.
  • Can I run one project for multiple designs?
In the interest of allowing the competition to result in the best work, we ask that you stay to one design concept per project.
  • What if I need help developing my design guidelines?
We can do that for you as an add-on service. A marketing professional from CreativeHub can talk with you and develop your design guidelines for an additional $75.
  • How can I produce the winning submission into a final product?
If you're producing a storyboard for a tv-commercial or you need help turning a flash submission into a production form, we can do that for you as an add-on service. We work with professional designers and videographers to produce fully-finished advertisements for our clients on an as-needed basis. Please contact us for a quote; pricing will depend on the specs of the job.
