ABOUT ME

Lena's Swedish roots were humble but rich with experience that served her well on her Artistic Journey that eventually led her to the United States. She graduated with a Graphic Design, Advertising and Public Relations degree from RMI-Berghs Professional University in Stockholm 1986. In 1987 and started her own Advertising Agency, Ordovison (Word and Vision). With clients like Diners Club, HansaCompagniet (Department store), Swedish National Road Administration (Vägverket), she soon expanded her agency and moved her offices to the Old Town in Stockholm. In 1991 her work team won the award for "Best Concept of the Year" (Catering and Hotel Branch). To broaden her growing interest in the Arts, Lena attended California Arts Institute in Los Angeles in 1993. The artistic climate in California and the multiplicity of cultures that coexist there together strongly attracted her and allowed her to experience new types of media and visual expression. One such means of visual expression was sculpture. She went on to work as a sculpting assistant for Jonathan Bickart and during 3 years with him they completed a bronze monument of Col. Griffith J. Griffith that is 14 feet tall. Currently, it can be seen at the Los Feliz entrance of Griffith Park, Los Angeles. Today Lena runs her own Photography and Graphic Design Business. With the help of the internet, her laptop and a camera and her personal skills, her work expands over 2 continents. Her work spans from editorial, music & entertainment photography in Los Angeles, CA to working for newspapers, corporate clients and advertising firms in Stockholm, Sweden. Some of her clients: MidLife Records, Samsung/Hartke, Mangoeater Music, The Active Sports and Health Center, The Denise Roberts Breast Cancer Foundation, Megafon Annonsbyrå, Adolf Fredrik Music School, Svensk Fjärrvarme (Swedish Heating Assoc), Muchis.se, Alliumhc.se, Särnmark, Ganancia HB, VITRUM i Stockholm AB.
